Korean seafood soup you must try when you travel Korea

This is the food you must try when you travel Korea. Korea has east sea, west sea and south sea. It means there are a lot of seafoods. I really like to enjoy seafood. Grill, soud, steamed. Everything is good to me. This time, I visited one of best restaurants for seafood soup in Changwon city of Korea.

 

My family and I like this food so much. It has a lot of seafoods and delicious soup. In Korea, we call it "Haemooltang". Haemool means seafoods, Tang means soup. It's one of my favorite foods. When you travel in Korea, you must try this food. Expecially, it goes very well with SOJU, Korean liquor.

 

One of my family members lives in Changwon city. This city is near Busan city. Both of cities are near the ocean and there are a lot of fresh seafoods. This restaurant is famous for King size seafood soup. Due to the size and unique composition, it was on TV program. That is why I visited here.

 

 

The menu is not complicated but simple. There are only 4 options by size. I visited here with my friend and ordered 55,000 won(46 USD) menu which is called "Keun So". Keun means Big, So means small. It's kinda weird menu name but I can understand what it means. Small size but abundant.

 

This is how they serve. One big pot, full of seafoods and some side dishes. Everything is fresh in the pot and we must boil first. Before it's done, we can enjoy some side dishes such as cucumber and steamed potata. Everything tastes very good.

 

 

It has many kinds of seafoods. It's also good enough for two people. There are one big squid, two small squids, scallops, conches, etc. Every seafood is very fresh as if it was served from the ocean right away. The soup is also good. After it boils once, the staff comes to the table and cut them.

 

Among seafoods, I like scallop so much. The texture is so soft and fresh, too. The red sauce is hot pepper paste sauce with a little bit of venigar. It's a Korean traditional sauce. Expecially, it goes very well with seafoods. Scallop with this sauce tastes good.

 

 

The squid is also fresh and delicious. You can have it as it is. Its flavour is very special and enjoyable. In Korea, we often have seafood with bean sprout. Bean sprout goes very well with seafood. When you travel in Korea, you can easily find restaurants with seafood. You must try Korean seafood soup and side dishes, you will love it.
