Korean Sandwich Price & unique retro cafe

Now, we have difficult time in Korea. My salary and income is the same but the prices of all items have increased. People say "Every price increased expect my salary. My situation is the same. Korean sandwich price has also increased now. But sometimes I have no choice to eat out. The other day, I visited one famous unique restro cafe in the evening.

 

I like sandwich very much. Sometimes I have it for breakfast. For dinner, it's also a good choice. This night, I ate sandwich for dinner with one drink. I visited one good cafe in Daegu city of South Korea. This cafe is very famous in Daegu as a retro cafe.

 

The name of cafe is Eupchunree 382 (읍천리 382). Eupchunree is the name of town which is located in Kyoungsan city near Daegu city. It orginated from there. The meaning of Eupchunree is a heartful town with clear water. This brand has many branches in South Korea.

 

As you get in the cafe, you can see many old stuffs. Mostly used 20 or 30 years ago. When I was very young, some of stuffs were in my house and my family used them. When I see these old things, it reminds me of my old days. That is why people visit here, too.

 

This cafe has several types of tables and chairs. Yellow sofa of above pictures reminds me of Dabang(다방) which is very old style Korean coffee shop. Now it's very hard to find Dabang in Korea. If you are lucky, you can find Dabang in a very old town. Nowadays, it's hard to find Dabang, that is why they made this kind of cafe. People can recall old days.

 

 

We can buy many kinds of drinks here. There is coffee menu and many kinds of fruit juice. The price of drink is usually 4,000~5,000 won. If it's 4,000 won, it is 3.3 USD. The expensive one is 5,900 won and it's 4.9 USD.

 

This time, I ordered one drink and one sandwich. The price of here sandwich is average, I think. Mostly, 7,500 won. It's 6.3 USD. The very simple sandwich at the old market of Korea is 2,000 won(1.6 USD). But mostly in this kind of cafe, the prices goes like this. Compared with several years ago, it went up rapidly.

 

I ordered fried shrimp sandwich. It was 7,500 won(6.3 USD). It was served as above. The quality of sandwich in this cafe was great. Vegetables were fresh. Bread was good. The taste was also good. It was good sandwich for a meal. I ate this for my dinner. 

 

I ordered one drink, too. The name of drink was Corn field Latte. Its price was 5,900 won(4.9 USD). The drink was enjoyable, cool and a little sweet. It went well with sandwich. I spent 11 USD for this meal. When you have a chance to visit Korea and if you can find this cafe in the town you would visit, I recommend you to visit this cafe.
