Is there anybody who doesn't like BBQ? I like BBQ so much, all kinds of BBQ. Especially, I like typical Korean intestine BBQ. This is real Korean BBQ. I introduce one restaurant and BBQ, where I visited recently. This is very popular food in Korea. If you visit Korea, you must try Korean intestine BBQ.

 

This is real Korean BBQ. On the hot and thick stone, we put all and bbq together. There are pork instestine, pork meant, bean sprout, kimchi, bracken. On one hand, this is really typical Korean BBQ. We put all and bbq together at the same time. This is so Korean way. 

 

This restaurant is near my house. Its name is "BONGJA MAKCHANG". Bongja means someone's name. I guess the owner's name. Makchang means big intestine. There are small intestine and big intestine from pig or cow. Korean people love intestine bbq.

 

This is typical Korean bbq restaurant. The device from the ceiling is for ventilation. When we bbq something, we are supposed to have smoke, this sucks smoke and let it outside so that it makes clean inside the restaurant. Without it, when we bbq something, smoke would fill inside.

 

The price of intestine is here 36,000 won(30 USD). They serve 500g + 500g, total 1kg of intestine. This intestine came from USA. Korean intestine is more expensive and many restaurants sell imported intestine like this. My family visited this restaurant and ordered intestine and pork meat. 

 

Once order is done, they serve many side dishes like above. In the center of table, there is one big round stone for bbq. There are kimchi, salad, many sauces. Kimchi and bean sprout is for grilling. You can have it without barbequeing but usually, in this kind of restaurant, we grill them on the hot stone together.

 

 

 

This is what we ordered. On the big round hot stone, we put all together at the same time and started barbequeing. The stone is super hot. As soon as we put all, it makes sizzling sound right away. I like this way so much. It makes me drool so much.

 

 

Even thought the stone is very hot, it takes time to bbq everything. In the mean time, I can have steamed egg. This is very Korean typical steamed egg. I think most of Korean bbq restaurants, they serve this kind of steamed egg free. Rarely, they charge $2 or $3 for this but most of them give this to customers for free. I really enjoy it, so delicious.

 

 

Instestine is all done. It is fatty food and I don't eat frequently. Buut sometimes, I am really cravinng for this. The texture is a little bit tough but as I chew, I can taste its flavor so much. In case of intestine, Korean people mostly barbeque like this, not steam. 

 

There is a special sauce for intestine bbq. This sauce is made of soybean paste, specially made for intestine bbq. As you dip intestine in the sauce, you can taste anther level of it. I highly recommend intestine bbq and this sauce together when you are in Korea.

 

 

This restaurant gives customers free dessert, Korean shaved ice. If you want it, you can have this unlimitedly. I have never seen the restaurant with free unlimited Korean shaved ice. This restaurant is special. After eating intestine bbq, I enjoyed Korean shaved ice, too. It was a perfect meal.
