Why is Randy's donuts so popular in Korea?

There are five branches of Randy's donuts in Korea. 3 in Seoul, 1 in Daegu, Busan and Jeju island. Actually, I didn't know this donut shop. One of my friends told me there was one Randy's donuts in Daegu and I started to search. I found Randy's donuts is very famous and popular in USA. I decided to visit Randy's donuts in Daegu city.

 

I heard there is one Randy's donuts in downtown of Daegu city and found it. There was a photo zone near the entrance door. I took a picture and went to the line to stand. Actually, I didn't expect this long line from the early morning. I had no choice but to stand in a line.

 

It opens at 11 am. I arrived 10:50 but already 7~8 people standing in line at the gate. At 11, the door opened and everybody rushed inside. I think this is the only donut cafe that people stand in a line as soon as it opens. I have never seen this before.

 

 

Even though I stood in a line, It was good to come here early. I could see so many kinds of donuts. People say most of them would be gone if I visit here in the afternoon. As soon as it opened, I visited here and I found many kinds of donuts. Everything looks so delicious.

 

 

I have no idea how much it is in USA. Here in Korea, Randy's donuts prices go like this. The price range is from 2,200 ~ 3,500 won (1.8 to 2.9 USD). I bought 4 pieces and it was almost 10 USD. They used a paper box to go. If I buy 3 or 4 pieces, a paper box is free like below.

 

This was my first time to try Randy's donuts. I visited USA long time ago and no one told me about Randy's donuts. Finally, here in Korea, I ate Randy's donuts and found it is so delicious. I still like Dunkin donuts and some donut cafe in my town. But now Randy's donuts became my favorite. They must have had a special recipe for donuts. It was fantastic!
